Configurable ingredient-risk detection for online shopping
A browser extension built for a direct, medically relevant shopping problem.
This started with an ordinary shopping trip and a non-ordinary allergy. Palm oil sits outside familiar packaging warnings, so every product meant reading the full ingredient list and wondering whether an alias had been missed.

Standard allergen labels do not cover every ingredient risk, so full lists had to be checked repeatedly.

The extension checks configurable terms and aliases, then shows SAFE or AVOID with the exact match and inspected source text.
